The Problem
Battery Replacement Surgeries
Globally, $60 billion is spent each year on surgeries to replace batteries in medical implants. This not only causes significant patient discomfort due to the frequency of surgeries but also introduces the risk of medical complications with each procedure.
Economic Impact
The worldwide expense of battery replacement surgeries reaches a staggering $60 billion annually.
Patient Discomfort
Frequent surgeries for battery replacements significantly diminish patients' quality of life.
Surgical Complications
Each battery replacement surgery carries a risk of severe medical complications, posing a continuous threat to patient health.

đź’˛ Hidden Costs

The global market for battery-powered medical implants is valued at $20 billion, including cardiovascular devices like pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT implants, and neurostimulator implants, each segment approximately $5 billion. However, the true cost extends to $60 billion annually in replacement expenses, as per insurance data. Kudu Medical Technologies focuses on reducing these hidden costs to improve healthcare efficiency and enhance patient quality of life.

đź©ş Complications

Every battery replacement surgery for medical implants carries significant risks, with 4% of procedures resulting in major complications, such as infections or the need for additional surgical interventions. Additionally, 7% of these surgeries lead to minor complications that adversely affect patients' daily lives and health. Kudu Medical Technologies is dedicated to addressing these serious concerns by advancing technologies that reduce these risks and enhance patient outcomes, thereby transforming post-surgical care in the medical device industry. The Solution
Ultrasound Power Transfer
Kudu Medical Technologies is revolutionizing the field with our cutting-edge ultrasound technology, designed to power up any medical implant on the market in under an hour. Our innovative wireless charging system safely transmits ultrasound waves through the skin to a receiver embedded in the implant, converting these waves into electrical energy to recharge the device's battery. This breakthrough not only ensures universal compatibility with all current implant models but also supports the development of new implant technologies previously limited by battery life constraints.

Tailored Charging Modules

Our advanced modules are designed to seamlessly integrate with existing medical implants, fully replacing the old battery. They include ultrasound charging electronics, a flat ultrasound receiver, and a powerful rechargeable battery.

Universal Chargers

Our universal chargers are compatible with all Kudu charging modules, making the charging process simple and efficient. The chargers feature a transducer array and are AI-driven and cloud-operated for optimal performance.

Benefits of Ultrasound Power Transfer
Our revolutionary solution not only eliminates battery replacement surgeries for medical implants but also drastically reduces associated costs. Leveraging advanced ultrasound technology, our patent-protected wireless charging system extends the lifespan of devices and opens the door to new types of medical implants previously deemed impossible. This innovation significantly enhances patient safety and care while introducing new revenue streams for medical device manufacturers through our unique business model, transforming the landscape for implantable medical devices.

đź’‰ Reducing Procedures

Our ultrasound-based charging system removes the necessity for frequent battery replacements, enhancing patient experience and reducing healthcare costs.

👨‍⚕️ Enhanced Safety and Comfort

Our approach drastically lowers the risk of infections related to surgical battery replacements, improves implant safety and longevity, and boosts patient well-being.

đź—˛ Super Fast Charge

Our proprietary hardware and algorithms enable a quick, safe, and efficient charging process using standard ultrasound transmitters. This technology provides ample power to support every implant on the market today without compromising safety or increasing complexity for implant manufacturers.

đź’¸ New Revenue Streams

Our business model opens up new avenues for manufacturers, such as charging as a service, which not only adds value but also generates ongoing revenue after the implant is delivered to the patient.
